What is Eastbound?
Eastbound is a Medical Clinic located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne with 12 GPs and a team of health practitioners including Medical Specialists, Psychologists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. Our Management Team works closely with our 2 partner and owner GPs, Drs Justine Birchall and Owen Latimer.
We respect our heritage and the legacy of our previous partners – Eastbound has operated since the early 1950s, when East Bentleigh was subdivided from market gardens on what was then the edge of a rapidly growing city. From Drs Basser and Eisen in the 1950s to Drs Green and Red Wright-Smith in the 1960s, the clinic has grown with the local area. In the 1990s, Dr Alan Molloy took over from his predecessors, and in 2005 our modern, purpose-built premises were opened. These were extended in 2013 and in 2016 when Drs Birchall and Latimer joined as co-owners.
