Asthma Management
Treatment room nurses support the GPs in the management of their patients with Acute Asthma / Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPG).
Asthma action plans are incorporated into chronic disease management, and the consulting GPs can provide the forms necessary for affected children to attend childcare, kindergarten and school.
Childhood Immunisations
Our nurses can administer routine government funded vaccinations and recommended private vaccinations for children.
All our nurses are trained in the current schedule and administration of vaccines as well as the management of common and severe reactions. You can book childhood immunisations online, over the phone, and in person.
Chronic Disease Management
Compassionate nurses provide GP-supported care for patients with multiple chronic health conditions.
The Care Coordination nurses will work closely with your GP and develop a plan that is personalised for you. This service has no out of pocket cost. You will need to have a consultation with a GP if you have not already had a plan developed. You can book a consult online, over the phone, and in person.
Diabetes Management & Education
Qualified diabetes educators support the GPs in educating and assisting those with diabetes.
Our diabetes nurses support the GPs with the ongoing care and monitoring that is required to manage type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. This service has no out of pocket cost. Patients are required to have a consultation with a GP before attending the Diabetes Clinic and this can be booked online, over the phone, and in person.
Electrocardiographs ECG's
The consulting GPs will use ECGs, often alongside other tests, to help diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the heart.
ECGs can be used to investigate symptoms of a possible heart problem, such as chest pain, palpitations (suddenly noticeable heartbeats), dizziness and shortness of breath.
Family Medicine
Working with skilled medical specialists and allied health practitioners as required, the GPs are qualified to manage the whole of life care of each patient’s health.
Ferinject Iron Infusions
The GPs can administer Iron (Ferinject) Infusions from an on-site facility once a clinical reason has been determined.
Referrals from other clinics are accepted. However, patients are required to make an appointment with a GP consulting from Eastbound to discuss this procedure. Please call our reception team or visit the clinic in person to make a booking.
Geriatric Medicine
The consulting GPs are able to attend to the care of patients 65+. Please book an appointment online, over the phone or in person.
Mental Health
The GPs are able to engage in mental health care, and on-site psychologists also consult from the allied health room.
It Is recommended that you book a 30-minute appointment to discuss your mental health care concern. This can be booked online, over the phone, and in person.
Paediatric Medicine
The GPs are able to see paediatric patients, with some GPs having undertaken further studies in paediatric care.
The GPs can also respond quickly to most children's needs through ‘Sick Kids' Appointments’. These run from 8.30 to 9:00am, and 4:00 to 4:30pm. You must book over the phone on the day of your appointment.
Skin Cancer Examination & Removal
Select GPs consulting from Eastbound have specialist training in skin checks, biopsies and skin cancer removals.
All patients are eligible and encouraged to have a skin check annually. Following a skin procedure, your GP will inform you about how you will receive your results. You can book skin checks online, over the phone, and in person.
Sports Medicine
Dr Tim March has undertaken additional training in sports related medicine and is able to treat a range of sport related injuries.
Trained GPs can provide epidural steroid injections. If you require a sports injury related appointment, please call our reception team or visit the clinic in person.
Travel Medicine & Immunisations
Eastbound stocks a range of private travel vaccinations, whilst also being licenced to store and record Yellow Fever vaccinations.
A handful of the GPs consulting at Eastbound have undertaken special training in travel vaccinations. We require you to have a consultation with a GP prior to booking in with a nurse. This can be done on the same day as a GP consult if an appointment time is available. You can book a consult online, over the phone, and in person.
Wound Care
The GPs can offer wound care and treatment from the on-site treatment room. This can be booked through our reception team, with the nurses directly, or via a consultation with a GP beforehand.
Script Consultations
Select GPs offer telehealth Script Consultations from Monday to Friday between 1:30 and 2:00pm for existing patients taking regular medications.
To book in, call reception at 9579 3522 and answer some basic screening questions.
To be eligible, you must have had a face-to-face consultation with your regular GP in the last 12 months and be taking regular medication.
Pain medication, drugs of addiction or any medications requiring a permit will not be prescribed through Script Consultations.
Sick Kids Appointments
Sick Kids Appointments are offered by select GPs at a reduced rate for sick kids.
Sick Kids Appointments are for:
— Colds, flus & bugs
— Lumps & bumps
— Fever
— Rashes
Sick Kids Appointments run Monday to Friday, between 8:30 - 9:00am and 4:00 - 4:30pm.
Eligibility: children who already attend the clinic, from newborn up to 16 years of age.
Walk-ins and advanced bookings are not available for Sick Kids Appointments. Please call reception on 9579 3522 on the day to secure an appointment.
Quick Requests
Your regular GP may offer telehealth Quick Request sessions for routine admin requirements and to renew existing referrals.
To be eligible, you must have had a face-to-face consultation with your regular GP in the last 12 months.
