Patient Feedback – You Asked, We Listened

We’re committed to constantly reviewing processes and patient feedback, with emphasis on adapting our services and operations to better cater to your needs. 

In our latest Practice Accreditation and Improvement Survey, you asked us to:

  • Expand access to after-hours appointments
  • Provide better access to the doctor of your choice
  • Improve, simplify, and diversify booking processes
  • Offer more telehealth appointments 

In line with this feedback, we’ve:

  • Added a fourth evening by extending Thursday consult hours to 8pm
  • Asked all doctors to work an evening shift and onboarded two new doctors to increase capacity
  • Added a booking ChatBot to our website and enlisted Jenny, our off-shore receptionist, to assist with phone bookings
  • Ensured that all GPs offer telehealth and video consults

Welcome to Eastbound’s New, Cosy Kids’ Corner

Eastbound’s Christmas renovations have gifted us with a new, colourful, and cosy kids’ corner, enhancing waiting experiences for young families. 

Tucked into a private alcove of the waiting room and abundantly stocked with toys, books, and puzzles, the kids’ corner is the ideal place to rest, play, or explore before your appointment at Eastbound Medical Clinic.  

We think the room is looking pretty inviting, but it could always use a couple of extra smiling faces, so be sure to check it out and join in on the fun during your next visit!

Painting Eastbound Red for REDFEB and Valentine’s Day

REDFEB is all about raising awareness of, and money for, the leading cause of death in Australia: heart disease.

Throughout February, Heart Research Australia invites Australians to show their support by wearing red for the people close to their hearts and by donating to support life-saving research.

At Eastbound Medical Clinic, the staff and consulting GPs participated by hosting a Valentine’s Day lunch. We seized the opportunity to paint the clinic red, flaunt our vibrant outfits, and raise much-needed funds for heart research. Collectively, we raised $145.00, while using social media to draw attention to both the impact of heart disease and the importance of heart health and heart check-ups.

This February, we wore red for our community. Who did you wear red for?

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Dr Aaron Impey to Eastbound Medical Clinic.

Aaron completed a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from Monash University in 2016, and further extended his skills and knowledge by completing a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Graduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy.

Having undertaken extensive training in a range of disciplines across multiple hospitals and medical centres, Aaron brings dynamic skills and knowledge to his work in general practice. His medical interests are broad, encompassing Emergency Medicine, Men’s Health, Children’s Health, Travel Medicine, and Chronic Disease Management.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys all things sport and fitness. He can often be found outdoors playing tennis, SUBA diving, skiing, hiking, or following AFL.   

Aaron consults full time, including Thursday evenings.

We are ecstatic to welcome Dr Amy Fitzgerald to Eastbound Medical Clinic.

Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Monash University in 2013 and went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2017. She is currently completing the second year of her GP training.

Working in various specialties at Alfred Health and Monash Health from 2018, she gained experience in areas including Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Amy’s approach to patient care is underpinned by active listening and a genuine desire to share in patients’ experiences. She is particularly interested in preventative healthcare, along with women’s and sexual health.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys hiking, reading, and traversing the great outdoors with her family and two golden retrievers. An enthusiastic traveller, she never wastes an opportunity to explore different cultures or to sample local cuisines.      

Amy currently consults Tuesday and Friday mornings, and all day Thursdays.
