    Today is #WorldOvarianCancerDay 💜 Established Today is #WorldOvarianCancerDay 💜

Established in 2013 by ovarian cancer advocacy leaders, World Ovarian Cancer Day prompts us to raise our voices in solidarity in the fight against ovarian cancer.

This #WOCD2025, we continue to embrace the multi-year campaign theme, “No Woman Left Behind”.

There are more than 30 different types of ovarian cancer. It is one of the most lethal of female cancers with delays in diagnoses due to lack of screening and because symptoms are often confused with other less severe illnesses.

Let’s spread the word this month to improve outcomes of ovarian cancer!
May is Crohn's & colitis awareness month. This gi May is Crohn's & colitis awareness month.

This gives Australians an opportunity to understand more about the reality of living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

We can help people living with these illnesses speak up about the day-to-day issues they face to reduce stigma and encourage others to seek diagnoses.

While both Crohn's and colitis share common symptoms like diarrhea, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain and feeling generally unwell, some symptoms are more characteristic of one disease than the other.

For more information about symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, visit crohnsandcolitis.org.au @crohnsandcolitisau
